Yes, you can make a great tasting chili with only 3 ingredients! It's taken me quite literally years to post this beef chili because I could never get a good picture of it. So happy that I can finally share this recipe with you, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
You can make your own chili seasoning (recipe below) or buy chili seasoning packets. I recommend making your own if you have all of the ingredients. (or invest in the ingredients you're missing). It makes about 3-4 servings depending on how hungry you are. I usually double the recipe so my boyfriend and I have enough for lunch the next day.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 can chili beans
1 can Hunts diced seasoned tomatoes of your choice
Optional toppings: sour cream, cheese, scallions
Chili seasoning:
1 tbs four
1 1/2 tsp chili power
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp sugar
2 tbs dried onion (flakes or powder)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried garlic (powder is fine)
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Directions:
In a large skillet, break down the beef and cook until no longer pink and drain the excess fat and oil. Combine all chili ingredients in a small bowl and mix. In a large pot combine the drained beef, chili beans, diced tomatoes and chili seasoning (all of it). Bring chili to a boil, then turn down the heat and let it simmer for 20-30 minutes. Serve with toppings of your choice.
